2013 International Speakers
Steven D'Souza
Steven D’Souza is the author of two international bestselling books on diversity and networking. His second book ‘Brilliant Networking’ has been translated into several languages, was featured by the Independent in their ‘Success at Work’ series and was recommended by both the Times and the Telegraph.
He is a highly sought after speaker in many global companies and some of his high-profile clients include AMEX, BT, PwC, Credit Suisse and Accenture.
Steven has worked internationally in the fields of HR, leadership, talent management, diversity and organisational development. He is currently an Executive Fellow of IE Business School (the number one business school in Europe) and the Programme Orchestrator for their Global Executive MBA.
Devora Zack
Devora Zack is author of Networking for People Who Hate Networking and president of Only Connect Consulting, Inc. She delivers dozens of dynamic, high-impact keynotes, presentations, and seminars annually. Devora is also an executive coach and strategy consultant. Her company has grown annually for 15 years as a 100% referral based business with over 100 private and public sector clients.
Ms Zack has served as visiting faculty for Cornell University's business school (Johnson) for 13 years, teaching leadership to MBA students from all over the world.
Jeffrey M. Schwartz
Jeffrey M. Schwartz, M.D. is Research Psychiatrist at UCLA School of Medicine and a seminal thinker and researcher in the field of self-directed neuroplasticity. He is the author of over 100 scientific publications in the fields of neuroscience and psychiatry, and several popular books including You Are Not Your Brain: The 4-Step Solution for Changing Bad Habits, Ending Unhealthy Thinking, and Taking Control of Your Life.
Dr Schwartz has been featured nationally on prominent TV shows, including Oprah, 20/20, Today Show and Donahue. He was a consultant to Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio on The Aviator and appeared in Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.
Dr Schwartz's primary research interest over the past two decades has been brain imaging and cognitive-behavioral therapy, with a focus on the brain mechanisms and psychological treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Dr Schwartz's most recent academic writing has been in the field of philosophy of mind, specifically on the role of volition in human neurobiology.
Professor Morten Huse
Professor Morten Huse is the Reinhard Mohn Chair of Management and Governance at University of Witten/Herdecke in Germany and professor of Organisation and Management at BI Norwegian Business School. Till June 2012 he was President of European Academy of Management, and he is member of Catalyst Europe Advisory Board.
His main interests circles around Value Creating Boards, the Human Side of Corporate Governance and Women on Boards. He is using approaches from strategic management, entrepreneurship and organisational behaviour. His main book is Boards, Governance and Value Creation: The Human Side of Corporate Governance, Cambridge University Press 2007. He has been visiting professor at universities on several continent's and used as a speaker in conferences in most parts of the world.
