Graduate Diploma Management Innovation

The Graduate Diploma Management Innovation is an advanced qualification, designed to challenge students with a highly practical and theoretical learning experience. Lecturers are real world managers and successfully combine recent studies, theory and practice to challenge and develop students. 

The Graduate Diploma Management Innovation is designed for middle and senior managers who wish to upgrade their management skills. This qualification also allows students the opportunity to articulate across into an MBA with one of our partnering universities. 

Qualification content
The Graduate Diploma Management Innovation consists of eight units:

• Managing People
• Managing Finance
• Managing Information
• Managing Marketing
• Managing Innovation
• Managing Strategy
• Managing Operations
• Contemporary Leadership

We recommend the above sequence of units is followed. However, applicants may gain entry into any one of the units of their choice if doing so supports individual learning and professional development needs. 

Assessment
Assessments may include: reports, plans, projects, and presentations.

Learning time period
Students have a maximum of six years to complete the Graduate Diploma Management Innovation from commencement of first unit of study. However, students generally complete one unit per trimester; this ensures the qualification is completed in eight trimesters (32 months).   

Support
AIM recognises that the decision to undertake study is not one made lightly and for many busy managers a work/life/study balance is difficult to achieve. For this reason we have fostered a supportive environment where students are recognised as individuals, with an onsite library and bookshop, professional lecturers and strong peer networks. 

Successful completion
Successful completion of all eight units results in students achieving the Graduate Diploma Management Innovation. This entitles the recipient to use the postnominals Grad Dip Mgt Innovation. A Graduation Ceremony is held once a year for students to celebrate their achievement. 

Upgrade your qualification
Students may use various Graduate Certificate Professional Management units to articulate into an MBA, with one of our partnering universities:

• University of Sunshine Coast
